Earlier this evening, the Science Center hosted a Wharton VIP networking event.
Please join Wharton Entrepreneurial Programs and the University City Science Center in a Networking Event with students from the Wharton Venture Initiation Program on Wednesday, March 25 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the University City Science Center. Join us for refreshments and mix with Wharton/Penn’s best and brightest student entrepreneurs along with some of the Philadelphia region’s leading business professionals including numerous alums.
We were given the honor of being invited to exhibit our company along with five other startup ventures. Consequently, Ryan Goldstein, President/CEO, presented an overview of ChronoWake to the 100+ attendees of this event, including renowned venture capital, angel, legal, and financial service professionals. We have gathered significant additional interest in our venture, plus several offers of resources and support.
We greatly appreciate the effort and resources of Wharton Entrepreneurial Programs and the Science Center to put together this excellent event.
We are thrilled to announce that ChronoWake has been selected as one of 10 ventures to advance to the final round of PennVention. Past PennVention finalists have been covered in major media outlets such as Reuters. On Friday, April 10, 2009, we will compete with nine other selected ventures for over $60,000 in cash and services at the annual Innovation Fair. An excerpt from the PennVention Committee’s selection notification email:
Congratulations! You have made the final round for PennVention. Our judges felt that your idea was one of the best submitted. Looking forward, the next round will consist of your team giving a ‘pitch’ of your idea to judges and a live audience on Friday, April 10th.
We would like to thank the Weiss Tech House and the PennVention Committee and Judges for the distinction of being selected a PennVention finalist. In addition to the prizes, selection as a finalist certainly enhances our reputation and eminence among not only Philadelphia’s entrepreneurial community, but also on a national and global scale.
We are happy to announce that Rob Goldstein, Chief Financial Officer, has been selected as one of eight finalists for the Wharton Venture Award.
